慧日禅寺（前身为慧日庵）始建于天福五年（940年），距今一千多年。背靠千年古刹天童禅寺、阿育王寺，群山怀抱之中依势而建错落有致。本案为慧日禅寺2013年新建建筑——凤凰阁室内部分，建筑本身共三层，一层为餐厅区，二层为会客区，亦是本案主体所在，三层则为佛堂兼居住区。
